The Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) in partnership with the American Council for Technology (ACT) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC) is proud to present a two-day training/meet-and-greet event entitled “Security Challenges and Solutions for Internet Protocol version Six (IPv6).” Event Purpose: The Federal Government is endeavoring to meet the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) mandate to implement IPv6 support on all Federal networks. As part of this effort, the American Council for Technology (ACT) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC) in partnership with the Federal Chief Information Officer (CIO) is hosting a two-day training session entitled “Security Challenges and Solutions for Internet Protocol version Six (IPv6).” Who Should Attend: Federal IPv6 Transition Managers and their network security representatives are invited to attend, along with IPv6 security vendors. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about IPv6 security readiness, best practices, and formulating a way forward. There will also be an opportunity to interact with IPv6 security vendors listed in Attachment A. The event is scheduled to take place September 25-26, 2012 at the GSA Headquarters in our nation’s capital Washington DC. |
